The Anambra Security Network, ASN has debunked what it termed as false allegations levelled against some police officers attached to the Police Area Command Headquarters, Onitsha, Anambra State.
In a press statement issued after their expanded general meeting in Awka, the state capital, ASN described the false allegations against the police personnel by one Nnanyelugo Elias as not only spurious but unfounded.
According to the statement, ASN disclosed that its findings followed the discreet investigations they carried out by their team of experts.
In the statement duly signed by its Executive Director, Comrade Kingsley Ofokansi, there’s no such name existed in Onitsha Drug Market, nor any shop called Shop No. 52 at Building Materials Market, hence such a shop was not traceable to any line in the market.
The statement further declared: “Onitsha Area Command did not embark on such an operation on the said date within the Market.
There’s no such names among the police personnel in Police Area Command structure”.
“No such goods were carted away and no Onitsha Trader have complained over issues raised by the fake writer. Our investigation revealed that the sponsors of the malicious publication came from fakers who are dealing on substandard and illicit drugs businesses whose business network has been spreading uncheckmated hence the leadership of the market was said to have been compromised with some of them and allowing them to flourish on the illicit drugs business”, said
ASN.
“We are therefore urging members of the public to disregard and discountenance such spurious and unfounded allegations and always trust the police in discharging their professional responsibilities
