OSOGBO — Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has strongly criticized the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC), accusing the party of demonstrating consistent disdain for civil servants and working-class families across the state.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to public welfare, Governor Adeleke stated on Wednesday that his government has prioritized the timely payment of salaries, pensions, and worker benefits since taking office. He insisted that political attempts to disrupt state finances would not derail his administration’s service delivery.
The Governor expressed confidence that recent actions targeting the state’s financial operations—including the freezing of government accounts by federal anti-graft operatives—would backfire politically. He noted that the measure has only strengthened the resolve of Osun voters to reject any return to past administrative hardship.
Framing the upcoming August 15 governorship election as a clear choice between continuous progress and political regression, Adeleke urged residents to support the ruling Accord party over the APC. He added that the resilience of Osun citizens will ensure good governance and accountability prevail at the polls.
