The lingering leadership tussle in the Anambra state chapter of the All Progressives Congress( APC )on Monday took a new twist following the reinstatement of Sen Emma Anosike as the Chairman of the party.
The Federal High Court Abuja presided over by Hon Justice Mohammed Umahi which had earlier delivered a judgement ousting Anosike on Monday granted a stay of execution of the said judgement hence reinstating Anosike.
Recall that the Ifeanyi Osegbo led faction of the party had approached the Court praying it to recognize them as the substantive executive and members of the State Working Committee ( SWC )of the party which was challenged by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party .
The party in the state had described the said judgement as kangaroo, contending that the said plaintiffs in the suit never knew about the matter as their names where wrongfully planted in the charge list .
Also in the said suit , the Chairman Sen Emma Anosike and Secretary Mr Obi Okpala were not parties to the suit which indicates that the judgment is of no consequences to their respective positions.
The Osegbo faction stormed the state Secretarate of the party in Awka , broke into the offices and held a meeting on the strength of that judgement.
But the recent ruling of the Hon Justice Mohammed Umah of the Federal High Court Abuja had restored Anosike a development that has ignited wide jubilation among members of the party in the area.
