Hon. Arinzechukwu Awogu, former Chairman of Ogbaru Local Government Transition Committee has emerged as the candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC for House of Representatives in Ogbaru Federal Constituency during Saturdays Option A4 party primaries that took place at Odekpe Primary School.
At the last count, Awogu scored 656 votes to defeat his rival, Mrs. Nkechi Isamade who polled 18 votes only and the Returning Officer for the party primaries, Obi Ibegbunam declared him winner of the peaceful exercise.
In his vote of thanks, Awogu commended the party faithfuls for the confidence they reposed on him and urged them to work harder towards ensuring victory during the January 16 national assembly election in the constituency.
In their separate responses, the APC chairman in Ogbaru Local Government, Hon. Patrick Chukwuma and Coordinator of Renewed Hope Agenda in APC Ward 1, Hon. Ifechukwu Aniegboka assured Awogu that no other party would upstage APC as a party and Awogu as it’s candidate in the Ogbaru Federal Constituency during the general election.
