The All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA has dismissed former Anambra state Governor and Presidential candidate of the Labor Party LP Mr Peter Obi describing him as a failed coach.
It further contended that in the past 13 years as a coach and leader of two gubernatorial candidates has failed to deliver non of those candidates.
National Publicity Secretary of APGA Mazi Ejimofor Opara in a reaction to the viral video where Peter Obi said that he is political higher and above Governor Charles Soludo who plays in a lower political Division contended that instead of going back to the drawing board has continued to make the same mistake.
“We all are witness to the several attempts by Mr Peter Obi to lead candidates two gubernatorial candidates to victory without succeeding”
“He had sponsored Chief Oseloka Obaze under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party PDP as gubernatorial candidate but failed as a coach to deliver him ”
“Obi also sponsored Mr Valentine Ozidbo under the same PDP but could not lead him to victory as Gubernatorial candidate ”
Opara questioned the bases for Obi to be claiming to be high and above Governor Charles Soludo when in the actual sense has no political Division that he is playing for noting that his submissions about Soludo stems from the background of share envy and petty jealously that Soludo got a second term which he never wanted any of his successors to achieve.
“It is a known fact Mr Peter Obi prides himself as the only governor that got a second term in office but tried to stop former governor Willie Obiano from getting a second term but failed and he equally plotted to stop the second term bid of Soludo but also failed and we as a party see this as share pettiness on the part of a coach that is a serial failure who has continued to apply the same method and keep getting the same poor results ”
Opara questioned why Obi has failed to reinvent yet getting similarly failed results.
“In football, a coach belongs to the same Division or League of the Club he coaches”
“It matters less if that coach had played in the champions league for donkey years”
“Once you sign up to a Division 1 club as their coach, you must share in their victories and losses. Most importantly, that is where you belong.”
“Now, imagine a coach that has in the last 13years coached in the Division 1 and going without trophy every season, coming to brag that he has been going without trophy in Division 1 because he now plays in the Champions League.”
“Meanwhile, the question on everyone’s lips is, “which Champions League club is our ‘Division 1 coach’ currently playing for?”
“The last time I checked, this is someone who has serially failed as a coach and battling relegation at the Champions League level”
“Yet, rather than learn and reinvent, he keeps on doing the same thing all the time, yet expecting a different result” he said.
