The people of Nnewi South Local Government Area have reaffirmed their support for the re-election bid of Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, as the November 8 governorship election draws near.
Speaking on the recent All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) campaign rally held in the council area, the Executive Chairman of Nnewi South Local Government, Hon. Van-George Ezeogidi (popularly known as Ijele Utuh), described the Governor’s visit as both an honour and a homecoming, stressing that Nnewi South remains one of the strongest political bases of APGA in the state.
Hon. Ezeogidi, in a statement issued over the week, expressed the people’s collective gratitude to the Governor for his outstanding performance and transformational strides across all sectors, from infrastructure and education to healthcare, security, agriculture, and youth empowerment. He noted that under Soludo’s administration, Anambra has witnessed unprecedented road construction projects, revival of public schools, improved security architecture, and innovative economic reforms aimed at making the state livable and prosperous for all.
He emphasized that the visible development projects across communities in Nnewi South, including rural road rehabilitation, market renewal, and youth-oriented empowerment programmes, have further strengthened the people’s confidence in the Soludo-led administration. According to him, these projects are not mere promises but tangible results of a leadership that prioritizes service delivery, accountability, and grassroots development.
Hon. Ezeogidi assured the Governor that the people of Nnewi South are not only appreciative but fully mobilized to deliver overwhelming support for his re-election. He described the forthcoming election as a chance to consolidate on the gains already achieved and to sustain the “Solution Agenda” that has redefined governance in Anambra State.
He further called on residents, party members, and supporters to come out in large numbers on election day and vote massively for APGA, stressing that continuity under Governor Soludo would ensure that the ongoing transformation projects are completed and expanded for the benefit of future generations.
“Nnewi South stands with Soludo,” he declared passionately, reiterating that the local government remains a proud APGA stronghold and is determined to deliver a decisive victory for the Governor at the polls. He added that the people’s loyalty to APGA is not out of sentiment but based on trust, visible progress, and a shared belief in Soludo’s vision for a better Anambra.
