A Pan-Igbo Socio-Political Organization, Southern Nigeria Peoples Mandate, SNPM has rated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s performance in all sectors within his two years in office so far.
In a press statement issued on Sunday, via WhatsApp, SNPM saidc their accessment in rating Tinubu’s performance so low was based on
all the promises he made to Nigerians during his campaign period yet Nigerians are currently going through ezcrutiating hardship.
In the statement signed by it’s President, Augustine Chukwudum, SNPM emphasized that after all the promises to alleviate the sufferings Nigeruans have been passing through since May 29, 1999 when former President Olusegun Obasanjo was sworn in as first civilian President of the fourth republic, Tinubu came in and worsened the matter from the very first day he was sworn in.
According to the group, “to our greatest suprise, a day after Tinubu was sworn in, prices of goods started sky rocketting and instead of the administration to address the worst hardship ever experienced by the masses, Tinubu went to national television and told Nigerians who are suffering because of his harsh economic policies which has so far sent many to their early grave that he has no idea of what to do. to alleviate the sufferings of the masses”.
“When we offered him a piece of advice on how to alleviate our sufferings, he ignored us to our greatest suprise probably because he has tailored his agenda in such a way that nobody will celebrate until after his tenure. To worsen the matter, any time impoverished Nigerians want to do genuine peaceful protest to alert the world of what we are passing, Mr. President would mobilise all the security forces in the country to truncate such proposed protest”.
Describing APC as All People’s Corruption, SNPN insisted that Tinubu’s absymal performance so far is a clear indication that the APC does not accept objective criticisms from both the opposition political parties and the entire Nigerian masses at large, insisting that this is the reason why they are doing everything humanly possible to turn Nigeria, into a one party system so that he and his party will continue with the business as usual.
