A vocal supporter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State, known locally by the moniker Haske No Shaking, has sparked fresh controversy via his Social Media Handle by accusing Senator Umar Buba Shehu of Bauchi South of sidelining his constituents in favor of appointments for indigenes of Plateau and Kaduna States.

In a statement shared on his Facebook page, Haske No Shaking claimed that Senator Shehu had “abandoned his roots,” and was “recruiting outsiders into federal roles while leaving Bauchi indigenes to languish.”

He alleged that the senator’s residence had become a gathering ground for desperate citizens seeking minor handouts, including instances where locals reportedly queued in the rain for ₦1,000 stipends.

“This isn’t representation it’s humiliation,” Haske said, demanding greater inclusion for Bauchi South natives in federal appointments and developmental planning.

These remarks come amid growing frustration among voters who feel disconnected from Abuja-based leaders. Critics argue that such alleged favoritism could erode public trust in elected officials and jeopardize the political fortunes of the APC in the region ahead of the next election cycle.

Senator Umar Buba Shehu has not yet responded to these claims, and efforts to reach his media team for comment were unsuccessful at the time of filing this report.

Local analysts warn that the accusations, if proven true, could have far-reaching consequences not only for Senator Shehu’s legacy but for broader perceptions of the APC’s commitment to equitable development in Bauchi State ahead of 2027.

As the political climate heats up, constituents and party loyalists alike are urging transparency, fairness, and a renewed focus on local empowerment.
