Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of security agencies, particularly the Nigeria Police Force, in the collective effort to safeguard lives and property across the state.
Mohammed gave the assurance while receiving the outgoing Commissioner of Police, Auwal Musa Mohammed, and welcoming his successor, CP Sani Omolori Aliyu, during a courtesy visit to the Government House, Bauchi, today.
Mohammed commended the outgoing Commissioner for his selfless service and significant contributions to the peace and development of the state.
While praising his dedication and professionalism, noting that his efforts greatly enhanced security during his tenure, Mohammed wished him success in his new assignment, describing his promotion as well-deserved.
He equally welcomed the new Commissioner, CP Sani Omolori Aliyu, and assured him of maximum support and cooperation.
Mohammed, however, urged the Police Command to sustain its efforts in maintaining peace, law, and order across the state, while reaffirming his administration’s readiness to partner with all security agencies in the fight against banditry and other criminal activities.
Speaking seperately, the outgoing Commissioner, Auwal Musa, who has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General (AIG) and reassigned to Zone 3, Yola, expressed deep appreciation for the opportunity to serve in Bauchi State.
AIG Musa thanked Mohammed and the people of the state for the hospitality and support extended to him during his stay, noting that the memories and relationships built in Bauchi are ones he will always cherish.
On his part, the new Commissioner of Police, Sani Omolori Aliyu, acknowledged Governor Bala’s immense support and contributions to the Nigeria Police Force.
He commended the Governor’s proactive approach to security matters and pledged to work diligently to meet expectations for the peace and progress of Bauchi State and Nigeria at large.
