Tragedy has struck in Umuguma, Owerri West, LGA of Imo State, after a Secondary School student of Urban Development Secondary School was fatally shot by a man “Donald” the founder of My Excellence Primary and Secondary School, Sharing boundary with the school of the deceased .
The incident occurred on Monday 17th March 2025, when the student jumped over the school fence to retrieve a ball that had fallen into the mans compound.
Sadly, the student succumbed to his injuries two days after the shooting. His classmates and fellow students were devastated by the news and took matters into their own hands.
In a fit of rage and grief, the students vandalized the man’s house and cars, causing significant damage. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting the need for improved safety measures and conflict resolution strategies.
The suspects “Mr Donald” the founder of “My Excellence Primary and Secondary School” have been arrested by State Police Command, for proper investigation, fair hearing and Justice to the deceased family.
