The Desperation to Set Gov. Alia on Collusion course with APC National Leadership

In response to a recent allegation emanating from very familiar sources within the ranks of the allied forces against development in Benue State, doctored and aired on a pseudo “Anchor TV”, we wish to categorically refute the insinuations that the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has called for the resignation of the All Progressives Congress, APC, National Chairman, His Excellency, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR.

These claims, originating from what can only be described as a propagandist evil pot, with a devious aim to wreck the sound relationship between Alia and the National Leadership of the APC led by Alh. Umar Ganduje are baseless and lack any factual merit.

It is imperative to clarify that at no point did Governor Alia assembled, attended, sent a representative or participated in any meeting to discuss the removal or call for resignation of the national chairman of the most populous party in Africa, His Excellency, Alh. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

The Benue State Governor remains firm in his support and allegiance to the leadership of the National Working Committee of the APC, under the leadership of Alhaji Ganduje.

Furthermore, at no point, whether publicly or privately, has the Governor advocated for or expressed any desire for the resignation of the National party chairman.

We urge members of the idle opposition, both within and without, who seems ready to devote all of their energies to fabricating falsehoods, to change course and channel these energies into substantive and constructive discourse rather than resorting to such frivolous and distracting tactics.

Governor Alia is a Reverend Gentleman, very focused and determined to continue in his deliberate efforts to changing the fortunes of Benue State. He is alive to his responsibilities as the leader of APC in Benue State and is doing everything legitimate to reposition the party for future victories.

Sir Tersoo Kula, MNIPR
Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Benue State.
