Northern Senators warn Tinubu against Military invention, as customs shuts Nigeria- Niger border

Northern Senators in the 10th National Assembly have cautioned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu against using military intervention in resolving the crisis in Niger.

This is as the Ag Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, as government shut the Nigeria- Niger border at Illela, Sokoto state.
Seven northern Nigeria states, including Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina Jigawa, Yobe and Borno share a 1,608 kilometres long border with five regions in the Niger Republic.
