Governor, Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state has forwarded a names of 23 commissioner’s nominees to the state House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
In a letter to the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y. Suleiman, the governor is requesting the house Members to screen and confirm nominees for appointment as Commissioners and Members of the State Executive Council in line with the provision of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).
Those to be screen and confirm from the nominees list were; Maiwada Bello (Geo Barrister) and Ibrahim Gambo from Alkaleri, Mahmoud Babamaji Abubakar and Hon. Danlami Ahmed Kawule from Bauchi, Tsammani Lydia Haruna from Bogoro, Ahmed Sarki Jalam from Dambam, Yakubu Ibrahim Hamza from Darazo, Usman Santuraki from Dass, Abdul Hassan from Ganjuwa, Muhammad Salees from Gamawa, Dr. Yakubu Adamu from Giade.
Others are Usman Abdulkadir Moddibo from Jama’are, Hajara Jibrin Gidado from Itas/Gadau, Hon. Farouk Mustapha from Katagum,
Hajara Yakubu Wanka from Kirfi,
Aminu Hammayo from Misau,
Hassan El-Yakub SAN from Ningi,
Muhammad Hamisu Shira from
Shira, Silas Madugu and Abubakar Abdulhamid Bununu from Tafawa Balewa, Jamila Muhammad Dahiru
and Dr. Adamu Umar Sambo from Toro, Abdulrazak Nuhu Zaki from Warji and Amina Muhammad Katagum from Zaki respectively.
Similarly, reports obtained from the Assembly indicated that the
Honourable House have resolved to screen the nominees on 2nd, 3rd and 4th of August 2023.
