Indication have emerged that the labour party aspirant who came second position in the just concluded LP primary election in Imo, Major Gen. Jack Ogunenwe Rtd will be moving to the Action Alliance (AA) to battle with the incumbent Govenor, Hope Uzodinma and other candidates in the November 11 poll.
A very dependable source within the political camp of the retired general told our correspondent that every arrangement for Ogunenwe to join the Action Alliance party and it’s ticket to be on the ballot for the November 11 poll have been concluded.
Our correspondent were told that the retired military General was supposed to contest with the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) after being defeated by Athan Achonu in the labour party primary election held in owerri at kanu Nwankwo stadium, but he was stopped by some political forces in the state allegedly sponsored by the incumbent govenor.
It was revealed that Ogunenwe is in a serious alliance with three polical bigwigs in the state and their structures who have resolved to throw heavy Support for his governorship bid.
According to an impeccable source who does not want his name on print, disclosed to our reporter that members of the Destiny Political organization belonging to Senator Ifeanyi Ararume, the Rescue Mission family, a political structure of the former governor of the state, Rochas Okorocha and the Rebuild Imo Group of the immediate past governor, Emeka Ihedioha, a foremost political structure in the State are in secret alliance with Jack Ogunenwe who’s campaign mantra is to reset Imo.
Information has it that since this Purported political alliance to deliver Ogunenwe Governorship bid, several meetings by the three polical Support groups have been held in and outside imo state, which aims at strategizing for November 11 poll and their common task to sack the incumbent Govenor, Hope Uzodinma from the Douglas House.
Our correspondent also learnt that mobilization have commenced gradually, and task have been given to the members of the political structures to begin sensitization meetings in their respective local government areas of the state, while their principal is waiting for INEC final substitution.
