The Ebonyi state Chairman of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Riki Okoroka has said that its Political Party was founded and built on the platform of love.
Okoroka disclosed this to pressmen shortly after the party’s constituency primary election held at the party secretariat, Tuesday in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state.
Speaking on the election process the Chairman, Chief Okoroka affirmed that it was successful, credible, free and fair.
He (Okoroka) explained that “in most of the constituencies, we had only one aspirant vying for various offices except in Ezza North, (Ezza North East and Ezza North West) where we have 5 persons respectively.
“So far it was successful, it was hitch free, it was credible, it was free and fair.
The Chairman further stated “APGA as an Igbo party. Not an Igbo party par say, but it was established following Igbo principles.
“The leadership of the party from the time of its formation, originated from Igbo extraction.
“Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, who founded the party had the principles of Igbo ideology. He believed that if you carry the will of the Igbo people, they will use it to bargain for power from the central.
“That is why today using Anambra experience, the Igbos have decided to use APGA as alternative platform, for possible bargaining of power from the central. That is why today you can see everybody yearning for APGA as an alternative platform.”(he said)
In addition the party’s governorship consensus candidate, Prof Odoh Benard described the exercise as successful, saying ” we don’t have any issue.
