Our attention has been drawn to a fabricated story making the round quoting the SDP Governorship Candidate, Chief Segun Oni, as making a statement on the lingering fuel scarcity in the country and Presidential politics.
We wish to alert the public that Oni did not authorise any such statement; it is the concoction of mischief makers and pathetic political detractors who are already jittery of his rising public acceptability across the state.
As a matter of fact, it is the candid view of Chief Segun Oni that “If not President Buhari, who is to be blamed? The President is the manager in charge. If he has failed us he has failed us.”
We ask: Who is the man whose name is Nigeria if not Buhari? The people of Ekiti State and Nigeria at large should expect more from these unconscionable elements. They are political propagandists who will stop at nothing in peddling falsehood over the fear of impending defeat.
The tumultuous display of solidarity exhibited by the people of Ekiti from across the 16 local governments when Chief Segun Oni made a grand entry from Abuja for a civic walk on ‘Go Get Your PVC’ has ready sent shivers down their spines.
Chief Segun did not also comment regarding the Presidential race of another party. He is happy with his new party, the SDP.
