The Deputy Governor of Anambra state, Dr Nkem Okeke, has cast his vote in the ongoing state governorship election.
Okeke voted around 10am on Saturday.
Describing the process as transparent, he commended the Federal Government for providing a peaceful environment for the election.
He said, “I’m impressed with the turnout. The process was transparent.
“The credit should be given to the federal government for providing the enabling environment.
“The presence of the security personnel gave the people courage to come out to vote.”
Okeke, a few weeks ago, defected from the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance in Anambra to the All Progressives Congress.
