Joe Igbokwe’s country home set ablaze

The country home of a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Joe Igbokwe has been set ablaze.

The house which is located at Nnewi was set ablaze ablaze on Sunday afternoon.

The chieftain of the APC in Lagos State alleged that his house was razed by Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) insurgents.

“IPOB invaded my house in Nnewi about now. I am sure they raised down the my house giving the jerrycans of petrol I saw being offloaded from their Sienna car via CCTV.

“To God be the glory. I am still alive. My Study is my greatest regret,” Igbokwe wrote on his known Facebook page.

Joe Igbokwe has been engaged in battle of words with IPOB which he claimed placed bounty on his head.

When Nnamdi Kanu, the leaders of IPOB was arrested, Igbokwe made a post thanking God that his life was spared.

Meanwhile the gunmen also attacked and burnt down the police and the Department of State Services offices in Nnewi.
According to witnesses, the attacked occured on Sunday afternoon around 1:00 p.m.

It was gathered that when hoodlums stormed the offices, they overpowered personnel and set fire to the facilities.

“The attackers said they don’t want to see any Nigerian flag standing in the area,” a witness said.

The number of those killed or injured cannot be ascertained as at the time of filing in this report.
