PDP govs storm Anambra for Ozigbo, flag off electronic membership registration

Governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday flagged of electronic membership registration exercise for the party in Anambra state.

The governors, Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state said the party flagged off the event in Anambra because of the November 6 gubernatorial poll in the state.

The governors, led by Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State also assured victory for the party’s governorship candidate, Mr Valentine Ozigbo and his deputy, Mrs Azuka Enemo, and enjoined electorate in the state to obtain their voters cards, to be eligible to vote for the party.

Obaseki, who is the Chairman of E-Registration exercise said, “We chose Anambra State as first state to launch it due to the November 6 gubernatorial poll. The leadership of the party across 326 electoral wards would drive the registration among the populace.”

Governor, Seyi Makinde and Okezie Ikpeazu while speaking urged party faithful not to be deterred or afraid over anything as the PDP leaders across Nigeria would work tirelessly with them for success of Ozigbo.

They enjoined Anambra voters to get ready to vote and protect their votes from the polling unit to collection centres, till victory is assured, because according to them, their destinies were in their hands.

The Governorship candidate of the party, Mr Valentine Ozigbo, while speaking stressed the importance of the electronic registration, and implored eligible voters in the state to equally participate on the continuous voters registration so to qualify to vote.

Earlier, Senator Uche Ekwunife, the Chairperson of Valentine Ozigbo Campaign Council, urged for unity of purpose among the PDP leaders with a view to ensuring victory for Ozigbo
