Bauchi State Police Command has arrested one Kabiru Ahmed for allegedly stabbing Hamza to death.
Police Public Relations Officer PPRO DSP Mohammed Ahmed Wakil stated this in a statement he distributed to reporters today Friday in Bauchi
He said last Wednesday :11/11/2020 a distress call received from Good Samaritan reveal that, one Hamza Usman ‘m’ aged 23yrs of Anguwar Mahaukata Bauchi went to his girlfriend house by name Ramlat Shehu (not real name) ‘f’ aged 15yrs of same address, he was attacked and stabbed on his chest by one Kabiru Ahmed ‘m’ aged 18yrs of Karofi”
Wakil said “as a result of the bleeding the victim was rushed to the Hospital for medical examination where medical doctor certified him dead”
He said on receipt of the information team of policemen were drafted to the scene, the principal suspect Kabiru Ahmed was arrested. Moreover, during investigation the suspect confessed to the crime and mentioned two others accomplice Abdul AKA (Walplay) and waleed AKA (Bandi) now at large.”
Wakil said effort is on top gear to arrest the remaining fleeing suspects.
He said Commissioner of Police directed that the case to be transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department SCID for discreet investigation.
