Following the directive by His Excellency, the National President of Ijaw Youths Council World wide, Deacon Timothy Peter Igbifa to conduct free, fair and credible election for it Abuja Chapter, arrangement has been concluded by the Electoral Committee Chairman of the Abuja chapter to conduct free and fair election that will stand the test of time in the history of the chapter.
Addressing newsmen in Abuja on the state of his preparation, the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, IYC Abuja Chapter, Comrade Ambassador George Adioni Sinclair said his team have made arrangements for credible, free and fair election that will stand the test of time, saying, the era of electoral malpractices are over.
He further noted that in line with President Igbifa’s campaign promises for Ijaw people, this is the first time in the history of IYC Abuja Chapter that forms would be issued to all eligible aspirants without any form of monentary inducement from any of the aspirants. He pointed out.
Ambassador Sinclair vowed to deal with anyone who will want to cause confusion or return IYC Abuja Chapter to the old inglorious days.
The ELECO Chairman, comrade Sinclair George however commended the National President of IYC World wide, Deacon Timothy Peter Igbifa for his determination to conduct credible, free and fair election, saying history would be kind to him in due time.
