Bauchi Gov appoints Social Critic SSA Project Monitoring, 8 others

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Muhammad  Abdulkadir has appointed a prolific writer and social critic Alhaji Musa Ahmad Azare Senior  Special Assistant SSA project monitoring and eight others.

A statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mohammed Sabi’u Baba, said the appointment  is with immediate effect.

With this appointment Musa will be in charge of supervising and monitoring of capital and other projects awarded by the government. Also, he is to find out and report to the governor the progress and quality of projects been executed by contractors and other government suppliers.

Musa a prolific writer and social critic is known to take on governments over unpopular policies. This has earned him a brush with the law as he was sometimes in August 2016 abducted in a commando style by the previous government and detained. However, he has never hidden his love for the current governor of the state, Bala Mohammed before and after the 2019 governorship election.

Other people appointed are Isa Sade SSA on multilateral, Bala Sale Chiroma SSA on youth, Harsanu Yunusa Guyaba SSA on Local Government affairs, while Khalid Barau Ningi is SSA on Empowerment.

The rest are Zakari Inuwa Labaran SSA on Education/SUBEB, Habiba Umar Alkaleri, SSA Office of the First Lady, Adamu Abubakar Barde SSA on Domestic while Ishaya Bukata was appointed as Special Assistant, Governor’s Office.

The newly appointed Senior Special Assistant on project monitoring Musa Azare expressed gratitude to Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for finding him worthy of the opportunity and pledged to justify the confidence reposed in him by supporting the government to executes viable project for the development  of the State.
