Uzodimma Unable To Pay Salaries In Imo

Information reaching 247ureports.com from a competent source within the Imo State Assembly indicates the Hope Uzodimma administration maybe in deeper trouble than earlier thought.

This is as the source revealed the administration of Hope Uzodimma have failed to pay the salaries of workers for several months. And, it had been kept a secret.

Confirming the information was Honorable Anyadike from Ezinihitte, Mbaise – a member of the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP]. He states the State Assembly had been converted to a rubber stamp assembly without the moral fortitude to call the Governor to his failure to pay State Workers their wages.

It was understood from sources that the Hope Uzodimma administration had drawn draconian measures against any state worker who would dare speak up about their situation. The few who had dared to speak up were silently and mercilessly dealt with. This action has in affect led to the total silencing of the State workforce.

It was further confirmed from Hon. Anyadike that the lawmakers are also being owed salaries. He was rebuked by the Speaker of the assembly for speaking up. Currently, the lawmaker id facing the possibility of a suspension – immediately the legislators return to seating.

Compounding Governor Hope Uzodimma troubles is the administration’s inability to fulfill its obligations to the pensioners. Already, the pensioners of the State themselves protesting at the entrance to the government daily – calling on the State Government to pay them their money. Governor Uzodimma has since stated the State will pay in due time.
