Haidar Care Foundation a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) based in the Northern Nigeria has supported women groups, orphans and vulnerable families in Bauchi State with food items to celebrate Sallah.
Distributing the foods items to the beneficiaries yesterday at the central Mosques Bauchi, the Program Coordinator Haidar Care Foundation Mohammed Muktar Isa said that the food items was meant to help the poor especially those who don’t have relatives to provide them with food items to celebrate this coming Sallah.
He said it was the desire of his foundation to provide for the vulnerable in the society especially those who are in dear need of food items, saying “Nigerian leaders have failed us because majority of us are going hungry and have no food items in their houses to cook for the children in Sallah but some have in abundance but could not help others.
Also in her remarks earlier, a senior staff from the foundation Mariya Yari Bappa stated that, the foundation is out to ensure that the needy have something to eat with their fellow neighbors on Sallah
“it is a pity that some people have so much in their houses but not willing to help or care about the less privilege in their communities. When you see people fighting over food to eat public that goes to tell that many people are hungry and their is need for all of us collectively to stop that trend”.
In her vote of thanks on behalf of beneficiaries,Hauwa’u Mohammed said they all thank God for the food items giving them by Haidar Foundation saying it would really help them in this Sallah celebration
While Aisha Abubakar and Rabiu Musa prayed that Allah would continue to bless the foundation
