Nasarawa State Commissioner of Information, Culture and Tourism, Comrade Dogo Shammah has said the State Government has secured 100,000 face mask for onward distribution to citizenry of the State.
In an interview,Hon.Shammah disclosed that out of the 130,000 face mask, Kenyan Mining Centre donated 30,000 face mask to the State.
The Commissioner hinted that the effort was part of the frantic measure taken to mitigate the widespread of COVID-19 in the State.
“Our intention is to distribute the face mask before the enforcement of compulsory use of face mask at public places like working place and market”.
Saying wearing of face mask is a protective means to curb the transmission and spread of COVID-19 Pandemic.
He admonished the people of Nasarawa State to always wash their hands with soap and water as a means to stay safe.
“For one to stay safe we should imbibe the spirit of hand wash with alcohol base sanitizer and Dettol”.
He called on the people of Nasarawa State to be law abiding citizens by obeying constituted authorities at all times.
Hon.Dogo Shammah appealed to workers in the State to remain calm and resolute at all times.
