Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed today sworn in the newly appointed State Commissioners, Alhaji Abdulhameed Nurudden and Dr Aliyu Mohammed Maigoro.
Other sworn in by the governor is his Principal Private Secretary, Dr Mohammed Musa Kirfi.
Speaking at the occasion held at the Council Chamber, Government House Bauchi said all the appointees were selected to assist his administration in providing to the citizens of the state with good services.
He said the PDP led administration in the state will give opportunity to citizens of the state to participate in governance in order to ensure every section of the state is represented in the cabinet.
” The 2 Commissioners are all young people representing the youth, even the PPS is also a young person representing that constituency, we in Bauchi we believed in giving opportunity to Nigerians or citizens of the state to participate in governance because with this we can ensure every section is represented.
” Bauchi Local Government which is the largest is going to have 2 Commissioners, 1 inside the town and the other one from outside the town. We brought all this 3 appointees because apart from we politicians who won the election, the people of the state deserved best practice and good services.”
Dr Aliyu Mohammed Maigoro who was posted to Ministry of Health, the governor charged him to assist the administration in its reform programme of providing good healthcare services not only at the Primary, Secondary but at the Tertiary level in general.
“He is one of the best Medical officer we have, he is replacing our own Honourable Auwal Jatau who recently won election, we hope you will use your expertise to assist us to achieve our agenda in the health sector.”

Alhaji Abdulhameed Nurudden to the Ministry of Natural Resources, hoped that he will work with relevant stakeholders to ensure the full take off of the proposed Petroleum Training Institute in Alkaleri Local Government Area.
“As for the young man Abdulhameed, he is youngest person in cabinet, you are expected to work with the Federal Ministry of Solid Minerals to ensure our state is benefitting from its natural resources.
The governor therefore enjoined his Principal Private Secretary to work in synergy with the Secretary to the State Government, Chief of Staff and the Head of Service to ensure effective service delivery without hitches.
” Dr Kirfi we have so much expectations from you, we believed you will deliver as expected.”​
