Champions Enyimba continued their dismal form into their title defence as they suffered yet another defeat in the week 16 of the 2019/2020 Nigeria professional football league season.
The Aba giants were beaten by FC Ifeanyi Ubah 2-0 in Nnewi on Sunday to remain winless in the last four league game.
Following their home loss to Heartland last week, the Fatai Osho’s ward were hoping to bounce back against the Anambra Warriors, but they fell short again, with Ifeanyi Ubah dominated the game from start to finish.
Uche Sebastine put FC Ifeanyi Ubah in front in the 37th minutes of the game, before Ikenna Cooper added the second in the 66th minutes to sealed all the three points.
Enyimba, however, tried to respond, but could only manage one effort on target from 12 attempts on the evening.
The defeat dropped People’s Elephants into the relegation zone as their fortune failed to improved under interim manager Fatai Osho.
