Governor of Kano state, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje leaves for Seattle, United States of America to meet with Dangote and Gates and Melinda Foundations, alongside French government, for high powered meetings on education and water supply.
He will be out for a period of 10 days. While away, the Deputy Governor Dr Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna will be the acting Governor for the period. All ministries, departments and agencies are directed to work well and harmoniously with the acting governor.
Governor’s meeting with the Foundations will be on the development of education in the state. Issues to do with accessibility, conducive environment for teaching and learning, as well as quality control, are some of the major areas to be discussed at the proposed meeting.
With the free and compulsory primary and secondary schools education policy, by the state government, more and more governments, organisations and other development partners are identifying with the good and people-oriented policies of Ganduje administration.
The meeting would go a long way in improving education at levels of the administration, ensuring that, “Many good things are coming to our dear state. And we are assuring people that, our resolve to take the state to higher level is determined with all sense of responsibility.
While away, Ganduje will also engage in touching the other area of water supply for the overall development of the state. Issues surrounding water industry that will improve the overall system, will be discussed at the high powered meeting.
