Information coming out of the election tribunal sitting at the State High Court in Kaduna State indicates that the tribunal may likely rule for a vote recount for the senatorial, gubernatorial and presidential elections. This is according to information gathered from highly placed sources within the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC].
It will be recalled the PDP and the gubernatorial candidate had asked the courts for a recount of the votes following alleged manipulations of results by the ruling APC.
The informant indicated the Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasiru El Rufai may be aware of the likelihood of the unfolding ruling, as a result, have become panicked, and have made frantic efforts to reach out to the INEC electoral officers. Our sources however reveals that all attempts to ‘reach out’ to the INEC officers failed to yield expected results.
A top source at INEC in the state confided that with “the way the PDP is positioning itself through the court and the facts including witnesses presented at the court, there are strong indications the el-Rufai administration is already on its way out of Sir Kashim Ibrahim House”.
In related development, at the Election Tribunal sitting at the State High Court, Lawal Adamu, popularly known as Mr. LA who contested for the Kaduna Central Senatorial seat under the PDP may be declared winner against Uba Sani of the APC who is an acolyte of Gov el-Rufai.
