The 2018/2019 National Convention for the National Union of Yobe State Students’ (NUYOSS) holding today [December 15, 2019] in Damaturu Yobe State has turned bloody.
Loading ...The Convention was abruptly suspended by authorities of the State owing to reasons that were not immediately made known to the students. It resulted into a rowdy demonstration by the students.
The police responded with firing gunshots. It is uncertain if it resuted to injuries or casualties.
According to an eyewitness, Comrade Mohammed, the demonstration by the students was a peaceful and ordely one. The comrade explained that the police action was unwaranted.
