In a desperate bid to forcefully acquire a property in Aba, Abia State, a business man identified as Ikenna Madubuike and his lawyer, Edwin Okoro, has despite an order of a High court, engaged thugs who demolished a building at 31/32 Ngwa Road.

Justice A.O. Chijioke of Aba High Court, had on 4th October, ordered all parties to the dispute to stay action on the building known as call Dandiko  Plaza, until the determination of the matter.

Counsel to Madubuike, Edwin Okoro, had given undertaking to the High Court that his client will not tamper with the property, while the businessman also made an affidavit in the High Court promising not to tamper with the property.

However, in collusion with lawyers of Ideato Chambers , Okoro and Madubuike went to an Aba South Magistrate Court and fraudulently obtained an order to demolish the building.

The demolition team led by a bailiff at Aba South Magistrate Court, one Elendu,   described the High Court order as worthless.  During the demolition, a tenant at the property has been feared dead as he was thrown out from the balcony of the building.

The affected persons whose building was destroyed and goods damaged has vowed to write to the Disciplinary Committee of NBA against Edwin Okoro and other lawyers.
