Speaking to newsmen, the Chairman of Tarka LGA, Hon. Anthony Sende who noted that the party had mobilized all party members for the congress said “what we are doing today is affirmation of old Exco members because they have performed creditable well.

He said the APC as a party has directed that elections should be held and it’s holding in all LGAs of the state. Where there is crises and peoole are not agreeing with each other,  there would be elections but where people agree like for us in Tarka, we are returning all our Exco unopposed”, Sende said.

The party chairman in Tarka, Alu Jimin as well as the youth leader also told newsmen that the party had reached a concensus to return all past Exco. He said all members have been mobilized and everyone; men, the women and the youths are all in agreement.

The presiding officer, Mr Innocent Abayibo who said they were set to conduct the congress explained that they arrived late because election materials were not released on time from the state.

Abayibo who stated that they were not having any challenge said if any crisis arise it will be tackled.
