“The should surrender and quietly and honorably back out of the race and support Governor Willie Maduabuchi to complete the good works he is doing in Anambra State. Former Governor Peter Obi knows that his lackey, Oseloka Obaze, will not win the election on November 18, 2017. He is playing the spoiler’s role. In all sincerity, God has destined Obiano for victory. Even non-Anambrarians are all solidly behind him and have given him their word to support him”, stated the national chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance [APGA], Dr. Victor Oye following the successful flag off of the gubernatorial campaign of Governor Willie Obiano for a second term in office.
Dr. Oye’s comment to the opposition party comes on the heels of the highly successful turnout of supporters at the flag off. The turnout of APGA members and supporters of the governor were said to be massive and intimidating. The personalities who had turned out to show support were said to be far reaching to include personalities such as the former central bank of Nigeria governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, the wife of the former leader of the party, Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu, Traditional Rulers from virtually the entire communities in Anambra, former associates of Chief Peter Obi, Business leaders and others.
Each ranking personality that graced the stage took turns to pledge loyalty to the gubernatorial race of the governor. Prof. Soludo was quick to restate that “if it’s not broken, don’t fix it”. Mrs. Ojukwu praised the works of the governor and supported his seeking a second term.
The former APGA national chairman who was also present, spoke eloquently and rained praises on the Governor’s efforts in the past 3years and promised that the Governor will continue along the same path to continue to bring the dividends of good governance to the people of Anambra.
The musical guru in the person of Phyno also graced the staged for a free concert. He also rained praises on the governor.
Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] appears to be battling issues lingering from their faulty gubernatorial primary. 247ureports.com is aware of the ongoing efforts to put together a decent flag off befitting of a credible gubernatorial campaign. But the party is faced with mass desertion by its members – to the extent Chief Peter Obi is left to finance the flag off virtually alone. A source from the Oseloka Obaze assured that they will surmount the obstacles in no time.
