Northern Governors Meet Ikpeazu

These were the high points raised, when the Northern Governors Forum visited Governor of Abia State Dr.Okezie Ikpeazu at the Goverent House, Umuahia.
A high powered delegation of Northern Governors Forum led by Governor Kashim Stettima of Borno State were in Abia State to thank Dr.Ikpeazu for the leadership exhibited to maintain peace and unity in the nation.
According to Alhaji Shettima, Leaders have a role to play in bringing about peace and stability.  The forum applauded the South East Governors for the steps taken to quell the IPOB/Military crises that could’ve degenerated to a bloodbath.
The delegation which has  Rt.Hon.Aminu Bello Masari, Governor of Kastina State, Rt.Hon.Aminu Wazari Tanbuwal, Governor of Sokoto State, Sen.Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, Governor of Kebbi and Rt.Hon. Solomon Lalong, Governor Plateau State , maintained that leaders have moral obligations to see that Nigeria remains one indivisible entity.
They Northern Governors who described Ikpeazu as one of the Country’s finest, also spoke to the leadership of various Muslim communities in Abia, reassuring them of their safety in the State.
Responding, Dr.Ikpeazu said he was humbled by the show of love and solidarity from Governors of the Northern extraction.
He reiterated that his Government will not allow anybody to undermine the peace and unity in the State.
According to the Governor ” A better Nigeria is a collective agenda. Whatever issues we have as a country can only be resolved on the table”.
He asked everyone to move freely as normalcy has returned to the State.
