Information reaching 247ureports.com indicates that voting has commenced. It commenced at 6:30pm at the Woman Development Center in Awka, Anambra State. Delegates from Aguata LGA cast the first votes.
Also 25 persons were arrested during the Accreditation of delegates. They were arrested at Ekwueme square when police accosted them. They could not identify themselves as delegates for the primary election. They were then taken to police station in Awka where they were detained.
The deputy commissioner of police in charge of operation confirmed the arrest.
