The kidnapped doctor of the university of Port Harcourt teaching hospital Dr Alex Akani has regained his freedom.
Loading ...The chairman of medical and dental consultants association of Nigeria UPTH chapter Dr Onotai Lucky confirmed the release of Dr Alex Akani to our correspondent.
He said Dr Alex Akani was released Wednesday night.
Dr Onotai Lucky did not mention whether ransom was paid before securing the release of the doctor.
It is recalled that consultants at the UPTH yesterday embarked on an indefinite strike to protest the abduction of Dr Alex Akani.
