Leader Of Kidnappers In Balmo Forest Bauchi Arrested, ‎Three Others

The Nigerian Police Force Bauchi State Command has arrested a leader of a kidnapping syndicate based at Balmo Forest Bauchi Lawali Musa aged thirty years at Muda Lawal market Bauchi.

The Command also arrested another notorious kidnapper who has been terrorising the people of Dandango of Bauchi metropolis Sa’idu Abdullahi aged twenty eight years.

Briefing newsmen yesterday, Commissioner of Police Bauchi State Command, Garba Baba Umar said that following an intelligence report ‎on the 28/4/2017 at about 1230hrs the command Anti Kidnapping Unit arrested one Lawali Musa male, aged 30yrs of Biji ward at Muda Lawan market.

He said the suspect is the leader of  a kidnapping syndicate based at Balmo Forest renowned  for a series of kidnappings in Ganjuwa and Darazo axis.

“He and his gang recently kidnapped and collected ransom of. Three hundred and fifty six thousand five hundred naira (N 356,500) and sixty thousand naira (60,000) from one Alh. Sani and Alh. Idi of Deji village in Darazo LGA respectively.
‎Baba Umar explained that,  on the 30/04/2017 at about 1000hrs, detectives attached to Anti-Kidnapping Unit arrested one Saidu Abdullahi male, aged 28yrs of Dandango Ward.
He said the suspect conspired with his gang on 27/4/2017 stormed Dandango village in Bauchi LGA and kidnapped the following persons;‎ Fati Alh. Kawu, female aged 22yrs Adam Alh. Kawu, male aged 25yrs Mallam Hassan, male aged 35yrs and took them to Jimbiri Mountain in Bauchi LGA.

“Police detectives traced and rescued the victims from the suspects in good condition and re-united them with their families”.

Exhibits recovered include;

One GSM handset used for ransom negotiation and other incriminating items.
According to him, Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) Bauchi arrested a group of Sara-Suka including their gang leader while conducting a meeting in order to disrupt the recently concluded Workers/May Day celebration in Bauchi.
Suspects arrested include; Sadiq Salisu, male aged 28yrs alias Hakori (Gang Leader) Sadiq A. Sadiq, male aged 25yrs Sule Dalhatu, male aged 24yrs Anas Sani Muhammad, male aged 20yrs
Abubakar A. Ahmed, male 22yrs andOthers are Umaru Danazumi male aged 25yr, all of Bauchi State Exhibits recovered include;
Seven (7) Sharp Knives One (1) Machete
Seventy Eight (78) pieces of 225ml of Tramadol Capsule suspected to be hard drugs
