Chief Ken Emeakayi, the Anambra Slate Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)has drummed it hard into the ears of the public thorough media practitioners in the State over the alleged plan to kill him by Governor Willie Obiano and his agentsĀ  .

Alleging that the incument governor said he will kill him should he fail to stop any form of opposition against him and his government, the PDP chieftain who addressed journalists in Awka shortly after he visited the office of the State Commissioner ofĀ  Police and that of the DSS last Monday, further alleged that the state first class citizen through mobile phone calls had allegedly vowed never to spear the life of Chief Ken Emeakayi should he fail to quit his anti-government crusade.

“Governor Willie Obiano said I would face the wrath of Aguleri idols if I did not quit casting aspersions on his administration”, Chief Emeakayi alleged.

Explaining that he has gone to the State Commissioner of Police to inquire about the petition he wrote to the state police boss on March 16, 2017 in connection with theĀ  threats allegedly comingĀ  from Governor Willie Obiano and his agents, Chief Ken Emeakayi alsoĀ  said; “even though the CP was aware of my visit, he purposely boycotted it as to confirm the claims of the agents of Gov.Obiano who are boasting that hence the. CP is in their pay roll, they can make or mare”,Ā  he said.

Emeakayi therefore recalled that on February 23, 2017,Ā  the state governor had called him on the phone and told him in black and white that he will kill him if he fail to stop any form of opposition against him and his governmentĀ  .

“On February 24, 2017,Ā  I chronicled what transpired between me. and the governor and forwarded same to the office of the governor whom I know was theĀ  chief security officer of the state and on February 28, 2017, I wrote petitions to the State Commissioner of Police and the DSSĀ  respectively”, he stated.

Narrating further, Chief Emeakayi said he has requested the police and the DSS to investigate his claim with a view to identifying all those involved in the plans to kill him through obtaining his conversations with Gov. Obiano from the network providers’ call logs history as well as the playback of their telephone conversation to ascertain the veracity of his claims.

He said that as a result of the threats to his life, he has requested the police and the DSS to provide him with. 24 hours security and protection with regret that despite his out cry to the police and the undercover security outfit, he is yet to see any positive reply even as he pointed out that after the telephoneĀ  call with the governor, he have being receiving steady stream flow of life threatening through phone calls from unknown callers suspected to be agents of Governor Willie ObianoĀ  .

Emeakayi also disclosed that he has equally received threat text messages from those he called agents of the incument governor, noting that he has also complained in writing to the Anambra State Traditional Rulers’ Council notifying them of the alleged plot to kill him by Gov. Obiano.

He further alleged that those working with the governor had told him eyeball to eyeball that the leadership of the police in Anambra state were in their payroll and as such nothing would come out of his petition to the policeĀ  .

The state chairman of the PDP however made it clear that he is a Nigerian and has his fundamental human rights pointing out that Governor Willie Obiano has no right to take his lifeĀ  except if he committed a crime which according to him wasĀ  subject to the verdict of the court .
