The Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) has announced the blowing up of another Trans Forcados Export Pipeline in the creeks of Warri South West Council Area of Delta State, saying its strike team carried out the attack by 10:45pm on Tuesday night.
The NDA spokesman, self-styled Brig-Gen Mudoch Agbinibo, confirmed the attack in series of tweets on his Twitter handle, adding that the attack was to warn oil companies in the Niger Delta region from carrying out repair works on any damaged line.
“Today at 10:45pm our elite strike team (strike team 6) has blown up the Forcados Export Pipeline. This action is to further stress that we don’t appreciate the repairs of blown pipelines,” the tweet read.
This development is coming hours after operatives of the Operations Delta Safe around Batan community repelled militants from carrying out a similar attack on another pipeline that fields the Forcados Export Terminal operated by Shell/ Nigerian Petroleum Development Company, NPDC, with crude oil.
