Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council (OYC) has warned against what it described as coordinated campaigns of calumny against former Abia state governor, Senator Theodore Orji.

The group said it has watched keenly the continuous assault on Senator Orji and decided to call those behind the campaigns to sheathe their sword or attract the wrath of Ohanaeze Youth Council.

While describing Senator Orji as a worthy leader of the Igbo nation, OYC warned that it will not tolerate any person or group to gang up against him and threatened to declare any defaulter a non persona grata in Igbo land.

“We advice those behind the ongoing campaign of calumny against Senator Theodore Orji to desist from their actions or be ready to face the wrath of Igbo youths. If they don’t desist, Ohanaeze will name them soon. Senator Theodore Orji has paid his dues, he has empowered many Igbo youths. During his tenure as governor, Senator Orji single handedly sponsored the activities of Ohanaeze Ndigbo for 8years. In his current position as Senator representing Abia Central, he has sponsored over 8 bills in the Senate. He is a worthy Igbo leader who deserves commendation.”

The group congratulated Senator Orji for what it described as his quality representation to the people of Abia central zone and Ndigbo.
