Palpable fear has gripped the activities of the Governor of Bauchi State following what may result to his removal by the Appeal Courts Holden in Jos Plateau State over the elections that brought him to power as the chief executive of the State.
According to information made available to 247ureports.com through a source conversant with the goings-on within the administrative cadre of the State, the governor is said to have become highly perturbed by intelligence reports from the adjudicating panel on the election tribunal. The supposed Intelligence report indicates that the panel of Judges at the Appeal Courts may have concluded on his case – and the conclusion, as he believes – is not favorable.
Our source explains that the news has left the governor unsettled and restless in search for avenues to reach the Panel of Judges. “His effort to reach top party faithfuls did not help him” said the source who added that most of the top party faithfuls are not happy with the Governor. “In fact, they are working against him“. The Governor has turned to the Attorney General of the State to help but the attorney general told him that he cannot be redeemed.
Many of the top APC officials who would have come to his aid indicate that the Bauichi State governor has a nature that does not easily warrant for outside assistance. “He is very boastful and arrogant” said a top official of the APC who went on to add that Governor Abubakar has been very insulting of other APC governors. “He says we are not articulate in the English language and that we are all illiterates”.
According to the source, the recent embarrassment by the Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha – was the result of the continued insults by the Bauchi State Governor. “The other Goverbnors did not come to Governor Abubakar’s aid during the incident because they all felt the same against Abubakar”.
