Eid El-Kabir: Let Us Support One Another – Atiku

On the occasion of the celebration of this year’s Eid el-Kabir festival, former Vice President and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Atiku Abubakar urged the Muslim faithful and indeed all Nigerians, to learn to be one another’s keeper.

In a press statement released by his Media Office in Abuja, the former Vice President congratulates Muslims on the celebration of the festival of Eid el-Kabir urging them to use the opportunity to reflect on the situation in the country and lend one another a shoulder of support.

The Turaki Adamawa said that Nigerians should go and celebrate like other people in the world in spite of the economic situation that has hit the country hard, assuring that them that this storm will pass away. He added that rather than despair, the occasion calls for sober reflection, prayers, cooperation and the display of solidarity among Nigerians so that no one feels left out.

He called on Nigerians to continue to work hard, persevere and pray for the success of the policies and measures being put in place by the APC government of President Muhammadu Buhari to restore the nation’s economy to good health and improve the lives of the people. He says further that the situation of things will take some time to improve because a lot was left undone for too long by previous leaders of the country assuring however, that there is always a silver lining at the end of a dark cloud.

He expressed the view that considering how challenging basic survival has become, this is the time for all Nigerians without exception to invoke the spirit of brotherhood and communal fraternity to beat the reality of the hard times. He notes that with mutual help, everyone will come out stronger to see better days.

He wished the Muslim faithful and all Nigerians a joyous celebration.
