The controller Nigeria Immigration services, Nasarawa state command, J.J Agada has warned illegal aliens in the state to stay clear of Nasarawa re-run election. Agada stated this during a stakeholders meeting held at the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Lafia.
He said the nation’s constitution forbids the possession of Nigeria voters card by alliens. He said non-Nigerians are not qualified to be in possession of voters card. He further said the law of the land disqualify non-citizens from voting.
“We will do our best to retrieve voters cards from alliens”, said J.J Agada.
The Independent National Electoral Commission in Nasarawa said the commission is ready for the conduct of free, fair and matured re-run election into Lafia/Obi federal constituency.
The administrative secretary, Dr.Mustapha Mudassir said the sensitization meeting was meant to ensure that electorate conduct themselves during the re-run election.
He commended the doggedness and resilience of security agents over their role in ensuring a hitch-free elections in the past… urging them to replicate the role they exhibited in the past.
Saku Allu, the national president Eggon Youth Movement, National body – appealed to INEC to leave up to expectation by ensuring the conduct of free and fair re-run election. He cautioned politicians and youths in the state to play the game according to the rule.
