Embattled Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku, is alleged to have dispatched a high-powered delegation to the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) in an effort to curry favor in the coming Supreme Court judgment challenging his continuous stay as Taraba State Governor.
The visit, under the guise of paying homage to the Emir of Muri, Alhaji Abass Tafida who just returned to the country after an overseas medical attention, is alleged to have been arranged by the wife of the CJN who was in Jalingo few days ago and had a marathon meeting in an undisclosed location in Jalingo with some die-hard members of the Darius Ishaku team ostensibly to plan how to reach the CJN and get him corrupted, to upturn justice.
Those on the Darius Ishaku team for the suspected visit include; Alhaji Bappah Abare, father to the notorious Jalingo Local Government Council chairman, Hassan Bappah Abare who has mustered the art of siphoning public funds to support the Darius Ishaku project. Others are, Anthony Jellyson (SSG), Rabo Usman (Chief of Staff), Hassan Bappah Abare, Ayuba Zaku (Permanent Secretary) and one Musa El-Wakili who is serving as a commissioner in the Darius administration.
A source close to the embattled Governor revealed to 247ureports that the team is alleged to have enticed the CJN’s wife who is an indigene of Taraba State with mouth-watering incentives to work on the psyche of her husband to do their bidding against natural justice.
While that crime is being perfected in Abuja, the Darius Ishaku administration has concluded plans to relocate the state’s Government House from Jalingo to Kona-Garu the ancestral village of Taraba State PDP chairman, Victor Bala against the wish of the majority.
“Already, there is an on-going construction work on the dualization of the road to Kona-Garu in preparation for the relocation of the Government House not minding the cost implication of such a gigantic and wasteful project on the lean purse of the state government. The Darius administration has woefully failed to attend to the needs of the people although it is a fake managed by tricksters and fraudsters masquerading as democrats, the people expect it to provide some basic needs before it is consigned to the bottom pit of hell
“What Darius wants to achieve by running helter-skelter to remain a governor is only known to the Almighty God, his godfathers and himself as he is clueless and extremely insincere without a tangible blue-print beneficial to the people. Taraba state has all along been unfortunate to be piloted by 419ners and rogues. Reverend Jolly Nyame was a rogue, Danbaba Suntai was a failure and now another bandit is desperate to ruin the state”, the source said
Efforts to reach either the Secretary to the State Government or any of the members of the entourage to Abuja proved abortive as three calls made to the cell phone of the SSG were neither acknowledged nor replied.
