As gale of defection continues to hit Bayelsa state, the Special Assistant on domestic matters to Senator Emmanuel Pauker, the  member representing Bayelsa central senatorial district in the National Assembly, Hon. Osomikime Blankson, has urged Bayelsans to sack the ruling Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), in the state, calling for massive votes and support to the All Progressive Congress(APC) in the forth coming gubernatorial elections in the state.

Blankson, who spoke at the APC party secretariat in Yenagoa, on Friday when he led over 1000 of his supporters to the leadership of the party in the state, said the reasons why they finally left the party was because the party lacks internal democracy.

He described the PDP as a party full of expired politicians who can’t win elections even at their ward unit, adding that the leadership of the party in the state has battered the people with lies, deceit, empty promises and under development of the people and state.

He expressed dissatisfaction over the manner of the leadership of the PDP in the state, adding that because of the role of his boss in the party some of them have been witch hunt and expelled from the party for no genuine reason.

The youth leader stated that the same thing happened to the flag bearer of the APC for the forth-coming gubernatorial election Chief Timipre Sylva when he was still a member of the party but he left to another party and he’s on the mission to reclaim his stolen mandate, noting that democracy has come to stay in the state and any attempt by politicians to frustrate others will not be condoled any more.

“Sylva’s ordeal was his stolen mandate, we supported him even while he was in the PDP, some of the reason why some of us do not have a face in the state is because we were with him, Thank God he has emerged as the APC flag bearer to get his stolen mandate back. It is important to support and stand by him to achieve his dreams.

“As a youth leader we interact with the youths in the state and we know what they want, their dreams have been chartered by this youth unfriendly government, they’re no policies of government that benefit them but when the new government comes their capacity will be developed.

“When Sylva was in government look at the roads he built are still there, the 500 hospital that was near completion has been critically destroyed by Dickson, look at the tower hotel is still the way he left it after five years, our streets are littered with garbage, these were things we never experienced during the administration of Sylva”.
