When you talk of the nominees in the like of Dr. Ogbonaya Onu, Dr. Chris Ngige, Kayode Fayemi, Raji Fashola, Lai Muhammed, Rotimi Ameachi and others, like I have always maintained, the President knows the people he want to work with and he will keep doing that till he form his cabinet.

He said the President for nominated ‘some of the best products’ in the region, he also expressed believe that President Buhari will fulfill all the promises he made to the region during the electioneering campaign.
When asked about the situation in Southeast now, Ikonne said: “If you notice nobody is talking about marginalisation again, the PDP and other oppositions have gone to sleep because political appointees have started emerging, and more positions will come to the South-east.
“Remember I told you that Mr. President made a promise and I have known him as a person that keep to promise, he will carry the South-east along because he visited the region more than five times during campaign more than any other zone.”
