Abia State Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA,Prince Nnanna Ukaegbu has applauded the performance of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.
Ukaegbu ,in an interview ,said that the governor is doing extremely well with the meagre resources available to him.
He said that he is not regretting endorsing Ikpeazu as the candidate of the party before the elections.
It will be recalled that APGA, had in a press briefing before the elections at its office located along Mission Hill, Umuahia, adopted Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu as its candidate at the April 11 governorship candidate in Abia State.
Reacting to the spurious allegations leveled against the governor in a recent statement issued by a faction of APGA in the state, Ukaegbu described the allegations as childish and uncoordinated.
“The people are in panic mood , they spread that Ikpeazu can’t deliver , now their propaganda is being torn down- Dr. Ikpeazu is taking governance to where it has never been before and they resorting to name calling and pull him syndrome, thinking that that will strengthen the case of their candidate (Otti) before the court of public opinion,” Ukaegbu said.
He said the people ( APGA faction) are still operating in the mood of the campaigns, adding that it is laughable for an opposition to churn out a statement that is such spurious in nature.
While Ukaegbu urged them to support a performing governor, he advised the faction to come in terms with the realities on ground.
