Information available to 247ureports.com indicates that the President of the federal republic of Nigeria, Mohammadu Buhari has extended an invitation to the newly elected leaders of the National Assembly for a breakfast meeting today [Wednesday] at the presidential villa.
Loading ...The breakfast invitation comes within 24hours following the election exercise which saw Bukola Saraki as the new Senate President and Yakubu Dogara as the new speaker of the house of representative. The invitation also came within 24hours of the All Progressive Congress [APC]’s rejection of the results of the election exercise. The APC had released a press statement rejecting the elected persons as not being candidates of the APC – while denouncing the process.
The President had immediately congratulated the elected officers – indicating that the process was constitutional and legal.
