*Says he is a bad loser

A socio-political group; South East Progressives Assembly(SEPA) has berated former Abia state governor, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu over comments  discrediting the 2015 elections in South East and South South zones.

Kalu had in a recent interview with Channels Television claimed that the just concluded 2015 general elections were rigged in the two geo political zones..

The group accused the former governor of been a bad loser having contested and lost the Abia North Senatorial seat under Progressives Peoples Alliance (PPA) to his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) counterpart, Hon. Mao Ohuabunwa.

In a statement made available to 247ureports.com by its president, Ebere Uzoukwa, SEPA advised Kalu to approach the tribunal rather than making unfounded claims about the elections.

GROUP SLAMS KALU OVER COMMENTS ON ELECTIONS IN SOUTH EAST

“The attention of the South East Progressives Assembly (SEPA) has been draw to the uncomplimentary and reckless remarks by former Abia governor, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu whose sinister motive include discrediting the just concluded 2015 general elections in South East. The most recent is his shameful postulations during an interview session with Channels Television which also was published in his newspaper, The Sun.

“Though we don’t intend to join issues with Kalu who suffered a humiliating defeat in the Abia North senatorial contest, it is however crucial to caution him against making inciting comments on the outcome of the 2015 general elections in South East and South South.”

The group warned Kalu to await the judgment of the Election Petition Tribunal since he has filed his petition on the outcome of the Abia North senatorial election.

“It is therefore in view of the foregoing that SEPA admonishes Kalu and co-travelers to approach the tribunal with whatever evidence they may have gathered. They should stop acting as judges on their own matter. They should know that election tribunal cases are not won either on the pages of newspapers or on national television. Rather than dancing naked in the market square, we expect Kalu to channel his energy on how to argue his petition before the tribunal. They should also allow our revered judges to adjudicate over the petitions brought before them based on the constitution and electoral act.”

The group congratulated the Governors-Elect from the South East; Okezie Ikpeazu (PDP-Abia), Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (PDP-Enugu), Owelle Rochas Okorocha (APC-Imo) and Chief Dave Umahi(PDP-Ebonyi) as well as all the Senators-Elect, House of Representatives Members-Elect and House of Assembly Members-Elect.”
