The 275 women and children rescued from the Sambisa forest and brought
to Yola have been evacuated to an unknown destination on the
order of the National Security Adviser.
Reports at the Malkoli camp said soldiers came in trucks and loaded
them and took them to the Yola airport where they were taken
away to an unnamed destination.
National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) which confirmed the story
stated that they were not aware of the destination of the rescued
victims.
NEMA Senior information officer Mallam Sani Datli however said it was
strictly a military affair.
However a source said the victims were taken away for what he called
psycotraumatic therapy.
Efforts at getting the military in Yola to comment failed.
